Music

This is another SSS card. The theme was "music". It's the first time a used a mask. I didn't have the Eclipse Tape but a friend told me I could use a post it note. Again I used water color pencils. I can't wait for the day I can use Copic Markers. With my tremors it's not possible yet.

SSS

This is a simple card I made for a Secret Sister Swap. The theme was "bug". I really like using SU's coordinated paper and ink.

HI MARY!

I'm saying hello to my cousin Mary Pat. She's going to the library tomorrow to look at my blog. She doesn't have a computer cause she'd be on it all the time. Don't we all complain about that? Mary Pat is the cousin I go to Disney World with. She got my Mom and I addicted the first year we went. I love you, Mary!
This is my little angel. She's just so special to me. I made this card for my Mother's friend who is in an assisted living home in NY. The stamps are Whiff Of Joy. I colored with watercolor pencils and the paper is SU. When Marge got the card, she said people were coming from other rooms to see it. That, of course, made me feel real good.

This card was made for a sketch swap. The sponsor of the swap sends a design and you follow it. It was the first one I've done. I enjoyed it and will do more. The paper is Stampin Up. The "Be Free" tag was cut with the Print and Cut feature the Silhouette offers. It's a great way to cheat if you don't have a stamp that fits the theme.

Nice Cold Watermellon

I love this card. It's one of those cards you don't want to give up. All the veggies are cut with the Silhouette Digital Cutter. The watermellon has a flap on the front that you can stamp or write a little message in. The card was for a SS swap too.

Lemonade

At the moment, with our hot weather, lemonade sounds real good. Our temps have been in the 90's. I made this card for a Secret Sister. I bought the yellow corrugated paper from a scrapbook store going out of business. I love the way it gives dimension. One of these days I'm gonna go on the hunt for more.

Where Have I Been?

I certainly have been gone awhile. I really can't believe it was March since I posted. I don't know where I've been. There was a trip to Disney World in there somewhere. My Secret Sister Swaps really keep me busy, but not that busy. This card was for the theme "clothes Hanger". I just happened to have this lovely Jolee cloths pins and dress. The flower rhinestones are Bling It and the paper is Stampin Up.

Happy Birthday, Georgia

This card was made for my sister-in-laws mother. She is 92. She was out for dinner a few weeks ago and she really enjoyed my dogs, so I made her a dog card.

Mr. Who?

As my friends know, I resently had brain surgery and my hair was cut very, very, short. I was shopping one day and when I got to the register..."Can I help you sir?" That was all it took. I put on a big pair of earrings, got my nails polished and put on some big rings that no guy would ever wear! I made these hats for my vacation to Disney World. Do you think there girly enough?

Happy Valentine Day!

This is the Valentine I made for my friend. Again, there I go with the flowers. I used crochet and silk flowers, felt hearts, lace ribbon.
I didn't tell you about my shopping spree. One of our local stores buys out different stores and then sell the stuff real cheap. They had lots and lots of silk flowers. Guess what I bought? The leaves and silk roses were from my spree. I couldn't help it ! They were 90% off !!

SNOW!

I don't know what attracted me to this guy, but  I found him fasinating. I had never seen anyone with dreadlocks that long. He wasn't bad looking either. Someone told me how dreadlocks where done, that they use wax. I can't image how they wash it! I wonder how long it had been since he had a hair cut. The "d", details, and definition was cut with the Silhouette. It seems that very few pages don't have something with the Silhouette.

Pam

I have some older things I've wanted to put on pre-surgery but never had a chance. This is my daughter, Pam. I had a good time with this page. Flowers, flowers, flowers! All sorts of  fabric, paper and plastic flowers. The strange leaves were cut with the QuicKutz Silhouette. The circle was cut with Fiskars Circle Cutter. Ya gotta have lots of bling to finish off a girly page. She's shoot me if she knew I was putting this on here.

So, I've been gone!

I've been missing for awhile, but now I'm ready to go again. I had two surgeries in January for Essential Tremor. I have a stimulator in  my chest which is attached to electrodes in my brain. It sounds yucky, but it wasn't near as scary as I thought it would be. This is my pre-surgery hair cut. You should see what I have now!!!!!!!! After, successful programming I will be able to write, make cards, and scrapbook pages much easier and more timely. My dream is to use Copic Markers!!!!!!!!!!!!!
